Our approach

Redefining access to motion capture

Accessibility

We believe motion capture should not be limited to large studios or high-budget productions. Our goal is to make motion capture reachable by adapting tools, workflows, and production scales to the realities of artists, performers, filmmakers, researchers, and emerging creators.

Guidance

Technology alone is not enough. We support projects from early experimentation to production, sharing methods, knowledge, and experience, and building a common understanding between creative intent and technical processes.

Co-creation

Solibo Studio is not a service provider working in isolation. We collaborate with talents, studios, institutions, and partners through residencies, training programs, and co-produced projects, fostering mutual learning and long-term creative relationships.

Why we exist

Every booking keeps a research studio running

SOLIBO Studio is the studio arm of Séquences Éphémères, a project run by ANISOTROPIE, a non-profit association based in Martinique. We are not a commercial studio with a side interest in culture. It works the other way around.

What you pay for a session covers the association’s running costs and the upkeep of our motion capture hardware and software — suits, gloves, facial rigs, licences, calibration, replacement parts. That same equipment then goes on to record and archive the musico-choreographic heritage of the Caribbean, and to host artists in residency.

So the arrangement is plain: commercial work funds the research, and the research is what keeps the studio sharp. You get a team that captures for its own archive as much as for its clients, at rates a non-profit structure makes possible.
